CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Football shirts require careful washing to preserve colour, fabric, sponsor prints and namesets — especially vintage pieces.

Proper care will significantly extend the life of your shirt.

Washing Temperature

• Wash at 30°C maximum
• Do not exceed 30°C under any circumstances
• Always wash inside out

Higher temperatures can damage sponsor prints, sleeve patches and namesets.

Detergent

• Use a mild, non-biological detergent
• Avoid bleach or whitening agents
• Do not use fabric softener

Harsh detergents can break down flock lettering, printed sponsors and heat-applied details.

Spin Speed

• Use a low spin cycle (400rpm or lower)
• Avoid high-speed spins

High spin speeds can cause cracking, peeling and stress damage to namesets and sponsors.

Drying

• Air dry only
• Hang naturally — do not tumble dry
• Keep away from direct heat (radiators, dryers, direct sunlight)

Tumble drying is one of the quickest ways to ruin a football shirt.

Important: Dual-Layer Namesets

We strongly recommend that any dual-layered namesets (for example Arsenal 1994–1996 and Chelsea 1998–2000) are HAND WASH ONLY.

These namesets consist of layered materials which are particularly sensitive to machine agitation and spin.

Any other shirts featuring dual-layered namesets will be clearly noted in the item description and should also be hand washed only.

General Advice

• Wash separately from heavy garments
• Avoid overloading the washing machine
• Never iron directly onto namesets or sponsor prints
• If ironing is necessary, turn inside out and use low heat

Proper care protects your shirt’s condition and value — especially with rare and collectible pieces.
